What you need to know is that certain antiviruses are best in protecting your computer from most of the small threats and one viruse that is harder to detect by other protection softwares such as: rootkits and trjoans. There are also some well developed antiviruses, but they are usuallu very expensive, and what is worse, you have to renew their licence every year or more frequently.
Nevertheless you must not be disappointed, for there are many well-known ESET, AVAST, AVIRA, SYMANTEC or AVG which provide you free versions of their antiviruses. There is only a small problem, that is the fact that the demo version of antiviruses usually run out after 30 days.
It is important to know what level of protection is required for your computer and how advanced you are in using your pc. It is also advisable that the graphic interface (GUI) of the antivirus is as friendly and simple as possible for the user.
Therefore, here are some antiviruses that i believe they fit the basic requirements of any computer.
